I had the pleasure of spending Christmas Eve up at Stinson Beach with some friends. We hiked up in the hills overlooking the town and beach. The loop was almost 7 miles long and about 1 mile straight up. OK, it was more like 1000 feet but it felt like a mile! Anyway, here are a few photos from the hike. what a wonderful setting for a winter holiday. that photo of the sun setting/reflecting off the pacific is fabulous. postcard perfect.
Luckily the sunset was so beautiful that it made me forget how sore I was at the time. And it didn't hurt that the trail ends back in town right next to the pub!
nice. a pint or two will take the pain out of the day.
